Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware gets Bootstrapped!
The coming version of Tiki (cache) will have Bootstrap CSS framework compatibility to improve the user experience with responsive web design and facilitate site design and customization via support for this popular framework. Zukakakina.com is running a development version of Tiki, with Bootstrap enabled, so please forgive any visual or functional glitches. Click the link to see a sample Tiki wiki page.

Development-related pages can be found at themes.tiki.org (cache), where we are collaborating on the project to add Bootstrap compatibiity as a front-end enhancement to complement Tiki's extensive back-end functionality.
The point of this installation is in part to implement the grid and the Bootstrap classes that so far have been added to Tiki's template files in trunk, such as btn and btn-default, etc. By selecting the "Bshost" theme and the theme options, you can see how the Bootswatch free themes (http://bootswatch.com/ (cache)) work. Even at this early stage, layout and the buttons (at least) work pretty well. (Bshost.css only has a few rules, and it imports bootstap.css, mostly to get the media queries, which not all the theme files include. The Bootswatch theme files are used without any editing.) The site is reponsive, and checking with a smartphone, etc. shows the columns resizing and stacking as expected, etc. But be aware that this is a work in progress.
Most of the themes bundled with the Tiki archive will probably be updated to use Bootstrap. There will also be new themes included in the Tiki download. Please stay tuned.
